Welcome to The Club at Westpoint. We are accepting applications for membership. You can apply here.
The Club at Westpoint is for boaters and non-boaters alike. The club formed at the beginning of 2018 to give a place where people can come together, in sophisticated surroundings, and enjoy a haven where they can relax, dine and meet friends. The club is forming now and we invite you to apply to join us and be part of building the membership and developing a club for the 21st century.
Today we have a temporary home in the Harbor House at Westpoint Marina but we will soon begin work on a purpose-built, modern, ecologically sensitive clubhouse. We plan to move into the new clubhouse in late-2019.
- A non-profit, inclusive club for the benefit of the members and guests
- Promote and encourage an interest in all forms of watercraft and waterborne activities
- Managed and operated in an environmentally sensitive way
- Improving the amenities for our local community through access to our facilities, attendance at our events, and careful stewardship of the land and water we manage
Westpoint Harbor is the most modern, technically advanced harbor in The Bay area with slips for around 400 boats up 120′ (36m).
Westpoint Harbor was conceived as an “inland” project. It does not encroach into the Bay and its navigable waters and there were no dredged materials to get hauled out and dumped. The site was planned so the 26-acre basin produced just enough material for the uplands portion of the marina. This is not the most efficient method from a developer’s perspective, but it is the most environmentally thoughtful. Westpoint Harbor is thought to be the largest private contribution to increasing the Bay’s surface area.
The club takes its role in our community very seriously. We make every effort to operate the club in a sustainable and ecologically sensitive manner. Our building will be made from materials that are from renewable sources. In our restaurants and bars, we will source our fresh ingredients locally and feature the finest regional producers in our beer, wine and spirits selections. Runoff from the building is filtered through retention ponds and rain gardens. Freshwater conservation programs will be in place throughout the facility to ensure we preserve our most vital resource. And the facility will be designed to complement and take advantage of our unique location amongst some of the most beautiful wetlands and wildlife areas in the whole of California.
Finally, Westpoint Marina is near Greco Island, a wonderful wildlife refuge sheltering an array of wildlife, including several endangered species. One of the facets of Westpoint Harbor is the extension of the Bay Trail with viewing areas, and benches so people can see, but not tread on to Greco Island.
