Our neighbors and friends at the Penninsula Youth Sailing Foundation announced today that they will be hosting the 2019 Chubb Junior National Sailing Championship Regatta.
Approximately 100 sailors, aged 13-18 years, will qualify at events across the U.S. in the early part of summer in singlehanded (Laser), doublehanded (Club 420) and triple or quadruple-handed boats. They will travel to Redwood City to represent their home region in the championship regatta from August 7-11. Here they will be mentored by some of the top sailing coaches in the country, and race under the watch of highly experienced US Sailing race officers and judges. They will be vying for the Smythe, Bemis and Sears trophies, sportsmanship awards, and various daily awards.
