Peregrine Falcon continues to impress …

yysw231717Peregrine Falcon continues to impress. Wednesday’s race was the Scrub Island Invitational from Nanny Cay to Scrub Island but going outside the chain of Islands so passing Cooper Island, Ginger Island to Port in the swell of the Atlantic and then a reach / downwind to Scrub Island. Elapsed time 2 hours 57 minutes. We were second in elapsed time and third in time after handicap. So we have a trophy!
And in addition to the Fun Facts of yesterday, we had a new Round the Tortola Island record set by a Volvo 70 class boat named E1 with an elapsed time of 2 hours 53 minutes and 8 seconds. This is a Polish crewed boat – a long way from their home…
We also had a new multihull record with a Breaker 53 with an elapsed time of 1 hour 57 minutes and 16 seconds.
We need to bow out of the races as Jim and Carolyn depart Saturday so we are having two days of snorkeling and fun to see them off!
