Friday Fun Series
A beautiful warm evening with nice winds and close racing. Phoenix finished first just ahead of Imagination, then Grunion a few seconds ahead of Ferox, followed by Marnie Kai. Pleiades started but wasn’t able to finish.

Results on Jibeset here.

The next race is on July 24th.

John & Larry

All the details can be found on The Club’s FFS Race Page.

All race participants must complete a waiver (captain and crew) each year.

If you are a captain looking for additional crew members or you are a sailor looking for a boat to race on, sign up on the crew form and the race committee will be in touch with you.

The notice of race, how to register on JibeSet, and all other race details can be found on the FFS Page.

RC Laser Racing
PIX and RESULTS!

A blustery day on the water
We tried out a new three-mark course … let’s just say it needs work … as two boats got hung up in the anchor lines.

Otherwise, it was a great day for Radio Controlled Sailboat racing. We had two new boats join the fleet and, as usual, the competition was fierce. One spectator suggested it was “like NASCAR out there”.

Thanks to the Westpoint Harbor staff for the use of the Whaler, the party barge, and a dock box to store our race marks.

Also thanks to the crowds who came by and tried their hand.

In the end, honors were shared with every racer having a first or second-place finish. Congrats to all.

Next race July 19th from 2:00. to 4:00 pm.
Join us to race (we have spare boats), or come and hang out in your dingy on the racecourse, and enjoy a couple of hours of Radio Controlled Sailboat racing.

We will be trying out a new course away from the dredging.

The races will be on the party barge and you are welcome to race with us, act as race officials, or just come and enjoy the fun.

Social Distancing rules apply.

ON SALE NOW: If you would like to purchase your own RC Laser sailboat they are on sale now for $299 complete at IntensitySails.com.

Sailors, if you would like a free boater kit you can get one by completing a short survey.

If you have any questions or need anything please let me know.

Sincerely,

Kevin
