This week

The harbor is letting us keep the party barges in the E-Dock “Floating Clubhouse” formation until Saturday

… so …

Join us for a socially distanced, mask-wearing, PRIZE GIVING, hang out, and Bingo session. Once again LuAnne will be calling the numbers. 6:00 to 8:00 on Friday.
BYO Bottle, Food, Chair (there are some), and something to cover the numbers.

Save the Date – Saturday, August 15th

Join us for another Open-Air Concert on Saturday, August 15th, on the kayak dock with the fabulous Kimiko and Freedom Sound Trio. This is the same trio that was featured at our holiday party last December. Due to the county restrictions during the club groundbreaking, Kimiko and her group were not able to join us to help celebrate the day.  We will welcome them back to entertain us on a warm summer’s evening.

Since we have to limit in-person attendance to 50, we are asking everyone who plans to attend to please register in advance. This event will be open to harbor members too.

Feel free to dinghy over, sit on a party barge, bring your chairs to the dock, just hang out on your boat or tune in via Zoom. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

Please stay in your social bubbles, six feet apart, and wear your mask while moving around.

Register here or on SlipStream.

Save the Date – Saturday, August 22nd

We could all use a pick-me-up kind of event this summer, and Dirty Cello will not only deliver for an outdoor concert, but they are bringing the stage with them!

Come join us for a member-exclusive free concert featuring the quartet of Dirty Cello. If you have never heard them perform, you are in for a treat … funny, high energy, and creative songwriting. Just what we could use after such a long time.

The concert will be outside, and a food truck will be available to purchase food, but you are welcome to bring your own food and lawn chairs. It is planned for 5 pm on August 22nd, and more details will follow, but get ready to once again enjoy time with your friends from Westpoint!

Register here or on SlipStream.

Cruising the Delta

Sequoia Yacht Club is planning to head “up the river,” starting on approx August 7th, and has invited The Club to join them. The plan is to anchor in the Delta for the week, likely in Potato Slough (aka “The Bedrooms”). Anyone interested in going should be prepared for the approx 90 nm trip up and be well versed and confident independently anchoring. Rafting up will be discouraged and limited. If you are interested in joining SYC follow the link below to register (there is also more information about the trip provide at the link). Please reach out to Richard Webber (SYC Flag & TWAC member). Richard is leading the trip and trying to gauge interest, therefore, please register soon to help them plan.

Here’s the link to sign up: in the SYC membership field please enter 9999

New Rules for Accessing The Clubhouse

For a short period of time, we were able to use The Clubhouse and we had some wonderful small gatherings. With the announcement from the Governor we are, once again not able to use the facility.

In addition, ABC has suspended all Type-51 licenses so we can no longer sell alcoholic beverages in The Clubhouse.

We support sensible restrictions and thank you for your continued support of our actions as we navigate these difficult times.

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Clubhouse when these restrictions are lifted and we can once again enjoy social events in person. Until then we will continue to provide a variety of fun virtual and outdoor events.

It’s a wrap
