This month’s pub quiz will have the usual “It Happened In October”, a round about Games played around the world, some bizarre facts about the animal kingdom, and the News Round.

SATURDAY Opti Green and Champ Fleet and Coastal Cleanup
This Saturday we will be running a “regatta” inside the turning basin at the Port of Redwood City. We will begin the day with a coastal cleanup of the harbor. And I am hopeful that your parents will continue the cleanup along the grassy knoll over by the turning basin while they are watching! We will have buckets to collect what we pick up, and will be tracking all of the items on the Clean Swell app. Timing will be 10 am to 4 pm for BOTH fleets.
SUNDAY – 420 Silver and Gold and Coastal Cleanup
On Sunday we will be running a “regatta” for both outside Redwood Creek. We will have a start boat and a spectator/media boat (thank you, Winston Bumpus and Larry Mayne). Similar to the Optis, we will be doing a harbor cleanup in the morning, followed by racing outside. Groups need to keep themselves isolated from each other.
Timing for the day will be 10 am to 5 pm for BOTH fleets.
Thanks to PYSF Director, Molly Vandemour, and the Junior Sailors for helping clean up our shoreline. The Club is proud to support this global program.

When mild-mannered Martin Harvey (Martin Short) finds out that he has inherited a vintage yacht, he decides to take his family on a Caribbean vacation to retrieve the vessel. Upon arriving on a small island and realizing that the ship is in rough shape, Martin and his family end up with more than they bargained for as the roguish Captain Ron (Kurt Russell) signs on to sail the boat to Miami. It doesn’t take long before Ron’s anything-goes antics get the Harveys into plenty of trouble.
Come join us on Saturday, October 31st, for the last concert of the year. Member Steve Stanley will be bringing his bandmates to play big band, jazz, and funk and the band will feature the irrepressible Cubby Ingaman to fill the autumn air with the sweetest sounds.
