Restarting the Cruise-Out Program
Cruise-Out-and-In
Friday, June 18th to Sunday, June 20th

Cruise Out (and In) to Westpoint

In this restart to our cruising program, let’s shake off the cobwebs and do a “cruise out” to Westpoint Harbor by “cruising in” to our soon-to-be clubhouse guest dock (N Dock)

Here’s the plan:

Friday, June 18th, participate in the Friday Fun Series. You don’t have to be a serious racer, the Friday Fun Series is about participating. Take your boat out, sail or power, run the course, and instead of returning to your slip, head for Westpoint Harbor guest dock where our Port Captains will be on-hand to welcome us to N-Dock. Following the race, there will be a charity BBQ, benefitting our junior sailing program PYSF, where Grill Master Larry Mayne will have the grill fired up. Bring a folding chair, a side dish to share, and something to drink.

Saturday, June 19th, after a leisure day of assessing your ship readiness for the cruising season, join along for a pre-event cocktail mixer and a boat scavenger hunt. Before the event starts, we’ll plan to either dinghy over to the launch ramp (or walk) and join The Club Event for dinner by Daniel’s Kitchen food truck and Reggae by Native Elements.

Summer Concert Series on the Helipad
Native Elements
Saturday, June 19th at 5:30 pm

Native Elements

San Francisco powerhouse, Native Elements has been keeping the energetic, feel-good reggae tradition alive in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Comprised of 9 seasoned musicians with decades of experience in rock, metal, blues, jazz, and hip-hop, this eclectic and fearless crew fuses their unique influences into a contemporary, melodic, horn-driven party. Each show takes its audience through improvisational peaks and valleys from blazing guitar solos to soaring saxophone wails while also delivering an authentic reggae foundation. Having grown up together since elementary school (playing in garage bands and skateboarding) in Daly City and South City, CA, Native Elements bring a uniquely warm experience to the stage that is both entertaining and uplifting.

Our Guest Food Truck will be Danny’s Kitchen
At Daniel’s Kitchen Food Truck, Chef Danny serves crispy barbacoa tacos, roasted vegan cauliflower tacos, and caramelized vegan portobello mushroom tacos. They also serve tasty burritos, scrumptious salads, and sweet flan deserts. The menu options will be available soon.

The Food Truck will start serving at 5:00 pm
The concert will begin at 5:30 pm

Please register by  Tuesday, June 15th

Movie Night on the Helipad
Fishermen’s Friends
Saturday, June 26th at 7:00 pm

Fishermen’s Friends

In 2010, a group of rugged fishermen carved out their own anachronistic moment in pop music lore, as the copyright-free folk songs sung by Fisherman’s Friends placed them at the Top 10 charts in the UK.

Chris Foggin’s “Fisherman’s Friends” doesn’t really explain how these harmonious workers and their sea shanties would have such a commercial appeal, and that proves to be intentional to its storytelling. This is a movie for instant fans; it’s explicitly for anyone who doesn’t need any convincing about why we’d instantly love them

Please register by Thursday, June 24th
