Thursday: Craft Beer Night
Featuring Ghostwood Brewery
Thursday, July 15th at 6:00 pm – The Clubhouse Craft Beer Night
Featuring Ghostwood Brewery, Redwood City
Craft Beer Night will feature our nearest brewery (just at the intersection of 101 and Seaport Boulevard). Once again we’ll be having flights of four select beers from this newly reopened (post-Covid) brewery.
This month’s hosts are Kevin and Julie Parker.
Cost $20 for members and guests includes a flight of 4 4 oz beers plus a 4 oz “top-up” of your favorite beer. It also includes warm snacks. Limited to 25 people.
At last, the special HDPE underground pipe arrived last Friday, and yesterday we received the special pipe welder and certified operator to weld the pipe sections together and bury them under the new roadway toThe Club and restaurant. This should only take a week or two to install, inspect and test, then we can finally begin paving and striping the road. The first photo shows the four-inch sewer line as well as the twelve inch water main. The second photo shows the welding machine which is on tracks and automatically welds the 40-foot pipe sections together. The welds are stronger than the pipe! Mark.
Westpoint Regatta Postponed until 2022
After much thought and consideration, the Regatta Committee has decided that we will postpone the Westpoint Regatta until 2022. The short amount of time between the lifting of lockdown and the scheduled date of the race did not leave enough time to put on the kind of quality race and events the crews have become accustomed to.
Friday, July 23rd, at the PYSF Campus Westpoint Meet The Junior Sailors and their Families
Larry’s delicious Sundowner Dogs will be available
On Friday, July 23 will be a Friday Fun race, and PY is doing a family night, where parents come and socialize, there’s a BBQ, and small boats are usually available for people to try out. Junior sailors will be joining the race, and afterward, everyone meets at the PYSF Tent for Latty’s delicious Sundowner Dogs. Think of this as a social evening, with an opportunity to meet the PY team, PY parents, Junior Sailors. And their chance to meet us. Having a strong showing by our members would let our junior sailors know how important they are to us. You don’t have to race, you can just show up after the race for the social party.
