C420 Pacific Coast Championship Regatta winners (from right to left) and some on-water action photos. The Regatta saw all conditions, from unhealthy air that canceled the first day of racing, to very calm winds and a building current on the second day of racing, building to gusts over 20 knots by the fourth and final race of the Regatta.
Congrats to all the sailors and many thanks for the many volunteers and club members who volunteered their boats to ferry around spectators.

Saturday, September 18th, at 5:30 pm – Helipad

Join us on the helipad at 5:30 pm on Saturday, September 18th for a special live performance by Sargon John Isaac. We will have a fun event with music, jokes, and his very special personal style. Sargon is a single performer so sitting closer to the helipad will be possible for this event.
He is an entertainer with a great voice and a fabulous personality. Sargon was formally the lead singer and showman for many bands and orchestras in England for many years. He was the opening act for top stars like Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdink, Glen Campbell, The Drifters, and many more. In the 70’s he socialized with Ozzie Osbourne, the Black Sabbath, as well as other famous musicians. Sargon plays all styles of music from soul, country, R&B, swing, and more. Feel free to make special requests!
We will not have a food truck this time and you are all invited to bring your picnic baskets, blankets, and chairs. We are implementing additional safety protocols again to help with the safety of all.
Please join in this very fun performance and enjoy our ongoing outdoor entertainment series. It is guaranteed to be a very fun afternoon.
Register today here or on Slipstream.

September 17th at 5:00 pm
The Hannig Cup
This annual race is one of the South Bay’s best

Named in honor of its biggest booster, Ted Hannig, the event started when its namesake was offered a “milestone birthday” party by fellow club members fifteen years ago. The peninsula-based entertainment lawyer demurred, deciding that he’d rather have an event go toward giving back to the community at large. In the ensuing time, the Cup has raised over $4m for Peninsula-based youth charities including those dealing with juvenile cancer research and gang abatement programs, the Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation, Marine Science Institute, and Sea Scouts. (source Lattitude 38 and others).
All you need to know:
- The event will based out of the PYSF campus at Westpoint Harbor
- Race begins at 5:00 pm – members of The Club are welcome to join in
- Dinner starts at 7:00 pm – tickets $20 – there will be alcohol on sale
- Music starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 11:00 pm
