Cruise-Out to Emery Cove

Movie Night: Oscar Award winner “Belfast”
Kenneth Branagh’s memoir of growing up in Northern Ireland is a bewitching tale of a beautiful family life surrounded by chaos and turmoil. Food at 6:00 pm, movie at 6:30 with a short introduction. Details below.
The kid’s party was a riot! There were fun and games all over the clubhouse. The adults went all out with their costumes … here are four of the best. Congrats Timo, Angela, Winston, and Carole.
Friday Night is Movie Night
Kenneth Branagh’s “Belfast”
Friday, November 4th at 6:00 pm
Belfast is a 2021 British coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh. The film stars Caitríona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds, Colin Morgan, and newcomer Jude Hill. The film, which Branagh has described as his “most personal”, follows a young boy’s childhood in Belfast, Northern Ireland, at the beginning of The Troubles in 1969.
We’ll be in the clubhouse and there will be snacks served at 6:00 pm and the movie will start at 6:30. It has a running time of 97 minutes.
There will be a short introduction to the movie by Kevin providing some context of the US-sponsored Good Friday agreement in light of the changes in British leadership recently.

The Peninsula Arts Guild renovated the existing Guild Theatre cinema facility into a live entertainment venue. The Guild Theatre is a not-for-profit music and event performance space bringing live music and entertainment to the Peninsula region. The venue holds 500+ patrons and hosts a wide range of music, film, and special events programming.
