ClubBuzz: Thoughts from Robin about the Fireside Chat

ClubBuzz: Thoughts from Robin about the Fireside Chat

The Buzz
Newsletter of The Club at Westpoint

From Robin Driscoll, The Club President
The most recent Fireside Chat discussing the relationship between the Club and the restaurant—Hurrica–was most engaging. The feedback from the membership was very helpful in providing guidance and direction for the Hurrica relationship.

Parke, MeeSun, and Erick were very appreciative of the quality and thoughtfulness of the comments. We are proceeding with the strategy of assigning to Hurrica as much of the management of the Food & Beverage deliverables as is reasonably possibly and economically efficient while retaining overall control of the member experience and service. I’ll keep the membership informed as we make progress.

I’d like to reiterate my thanks to all the members who have done so much for the Club over the last several years. We see light at the end of the tunnel and it looks bright! We would not have accomplished what we have without the efforts of every member who participated on a committee, organized or hosted club events, referred or interviewed new member candidates, or simply lent a hand when needed. Each one of you has made a difference.

We also recognize the efforts of the harbor staff and management for their support of the Club. We truly have a wonderful partnership.

Let keep up the good work. New members are key to our continued success. If each existing member would introduce one new member to the Club, we would overwhelming exceed our membership projections. I’m looking forward to celebrating that day.”

Best to All,
Robin
