February at The Club

Cruise-Out fun facts for this weekend.
This weekend, boaters from the South Bay will be cruising. Both The Club at Westpoint and our friends and neighbors, Sequoia YC are heading north on Friday. We might see a traffic jam in the shipping channel.  🤣

Between The Club heading to St Francis YC and SYC headed to San Francisco YC, nearly 30 boats will be cruising north for the Presidents day weekend!

If you’re out on the water and you see one of the boats, take some pics. Captains are always looking for pictures of their boat underway. We’ll make sure the ones of the Sequoia’s fleet get to their skippers.

Patrick McCallum
New Member of the Board of Directors

Ahoy! My name is Patrick McCallum. I am honored and excited to join the board of directors of The Club at Westpoint. I spent a fair amount of my youth racing sailboats in the SF Bay and up and down the Pacific Coast. I’m hoping to utilize my enthusiasm, experience, and a general curiosity for all aspects of boating (big boat racing/sailing, motoring, kayaking, dinghy sailing, cruising, etc.) in contributing to our club’s full potential.

I joined The Club in 2020 when I arrived as a liveaboard on Cosmo, a 57’ Beneteau cruising sailboat. When I began meeting club members and marina neighbors alike I immediately felt a sense of belonging. I was in the right place, surrounded by a diverse and interesting group of boating enthusiasts. I am a full-time resident on H dock (slip H26), please swing by anytime. I’m looking forward to meeting all of our club members, together cultivating our love of boating and making lasting relationships. Thank you for the opportunity!
